Celebrating Truth, Music, and Community
On a vibrant Saturday afternoon, The Brilliant Foundation, together with our valued partners FISH and Local&Aesthetic, hosted our second annual music fundraiser: Truth Telling in Music. This special event brought together musicians, artists, First Nations leaders, and community members to celebrate the power of music as a vehicle for truth, healing, and connection.
Our Purpose
At The Brilliant Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of kindness, creativity, and giving back. “Truth Telling in Music” was created to:
Amplify Indigenous voices and stories
Support sustainable health initiatives in our community
Provide a platform for emerging and established local talent
Foster understanding and reconciliation through the arts
Event Highlights
Master of Ceremonies: Fifi Mondello, Founding Member of The Brilliant Foundation, led the event with her signature warmth and professionalism. Fifi’s background as a performer, lawyer, and creative leader set the perfect tone for an afternoon of inspiration and unity.
Acknowledgement of Country: Scott Wilson, Board Member of FISH and proud Gooniyandi and Gajerrong man, opened the event with a heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country, reminding us of the deep histories and ongoing contributions of First Nations peoples.
Words from Our Partners:
Dominique Rae, owner of Local&Aesthetic, welcomed guests to the beautiful venue.
Renee Ralph, Co-Founder of The Brilliant Foundation, shared reflections on our journey and the importance of community support.
The Music
Our stage featured a diverse lineup of talented performers:
Alexander Circosta: Media personality and performer, opened the musical program before heading to Perth Stadium to sing the national anthem.
Alanah Linn: WAAPA Guitarist and songwriter, performed four original compositions blending honesty and literary flair.
Valentina: At just nine years old, delivered a moving rendition of “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” by Benson Boone.
Gypsy Williams & Zoe Bizzaca: Lifelong friends and musical duo, performed covers and originals, including “Vienna” by Billy Joel and “Anyone Would Care” by Zoe.
Scott Demalotte: WAAPA graduate and composer, closed the program with pieces bridging classical and contemporary styles.

Reflections from The Brilliant Foundation
As we celebrate our fifth year, The Brilliant Foundation has grown from zero to over 2,300 members worldwide. Our journey has been rewarding and inspiring, driven by the belief that kindness and giving back can transform lives and communities.
Co-Founder Renee Ralph expressed heartfelt thanks to all musicians, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees:
“It is wonderful to see you all here. Thank you for giving your time and talent to support this worthy cause. Together, we are building a more inclusive and compassionate society.”
The Impact
“Truth Telling in Music” was more than a fundraiser—it was a celebration of resilience, creativity, and connection. The funds raised will help sustain the vital work of FISH and support future initiatives by The Brilliant Foundation and our partners.
Looking Ahead
As the final notes faded and Scott Wilson signed autographs for his Indigenous comic heroine and heroes, we were reminded of the power of music to unite, heal, and inspire. The success of this event sets a high bar for the future, and we look forward to even greater collaboration, creativity, and impact in the years to come.
Thank you to everyone who made “Truth Telling in Music” a success. Together, we are making a difference—one song, one story, one act of kindness at a time.
